I’m Patri, a photographer based in Oviedo, and I dedicate myself passionately to maternity photography. I consider myself a maternity specialist: my aim is to accompany you so the images reflect how you lived that moment—without forced poses, with naturalness and care. I work from the premise of storytelling; I strive for each photograph to distil emotions, glances and gestures that together narrate the experience of becoming a mother. My approach is documentary and warm. During maternity sessions I seek to create a relaxed, intimate and safe atmosphere: we talk before the session to get to know each other, choose the location that best represents you—beach, countryside or a quiet corner in Oviedo—and on the day I focus on the connection between you, the light and the small details. I guide gently, intervene only when necessary and let moments arise, because the most powerful images are those that are not manufactured. I place great value on privacy and respect for families; that is why I only show a limited public selection of my work and always prepare a private gallery for the families who have trusted me.
