I am Begoña Castañón, the photographer behind Petitlolarte, and I dedicate myself with passion to maternity photography in Leioa and Bizkaia. My work with expectant mothers springs from both personal and professional experience: I aim to convey through images the emotion, calm and beauty of this unique stage. My approach is simple — less is more — and I like maternity sessions to be intimate, natural and full of light. I work mainly at home and outdoors: I come to your home to take advantage of the privacy and the spaces that represent you, or we choose an outdoor setting where the light and atmosphere bring freshness and freedom. I prefer natural light because it preserves the relaxed atmosphere I value and helps you feel comfortable, without forced poses. During the session I accompany you with a warm, calm attitude; my goal is for you to enjoy the moment, to relax and to let authentic moments arise. My process is clear and personal: we talk before the session to agree on location, clothing and the style you prefer; I recommend booking during the second trimester so we can choose the best date. On the day of the shoot we take the time needed so everything flows without hurry. I offer outfit options and advise on colors and textures that work well with natural light.
