I’m Sandra Chemida, a photographer specializing in maternity photography based in Arucas, Gran Canaria. My work focuses on maternity and pregnancy reportage with a lifestyle approach: I look for honest images, without forced poses, that reflect tenderness, intimacy and the small glances that herald a new life. My way of working comes from experience and respect for each stage. Before the session I speak with you to learn your story, the locations that inspire you and the pace you need. I work both at home and outdoors across Gran Canaria (beaches, parks and country estates), adapting light and environment so the session feels comfortable and authentic. On several occasions I split the session over different days when the wellbeing of the baby or the mother requires it: your peace of mind is the priority. The maternity photography I offer does not pursue the perfect image but the truth of the moment: hands holding the belly, shared looks, nervous laughter and quiet, knowing pauses. I use natural light whenever possible and foster a warm, relaxed atmosphere so you feel safe and free.
