I’m Jorge, the person behind Estudio Jota. My vision as a maternity photographer in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is born from two passions: nature and photography. Focusing on maternity photography has allowed me to refine a style that seeks naturalness, spontaneity, and the authentic emotion of each expectant mother. My aim is that every image returns, always, the exact feeling of that unique moment. My approach to pregnancy photo sessions is completely personalized. Before the session we meet to get to know each other, hear your ideas, and choose the setting that best represents you: an intimate session at home, silhouette shots against the sea on Gran Canaria’s beaches, or outdoor images that take advantage of the island’s light and landscapes. I can also work in the studio if you prefer a controlled, timeless environment. Together we choose the aesthetic, clothing, and lighting so the result is true to your style. I work with a photographic language that blends the artistic and the documentary. I aim to capture the beauty of the silhouette, tender gestures with your partner or family, and those quiet moments that often go unnoticed. If you wish, we can include your partner, children, or pet — images become more sincere when affection appears naturally. For many mothers I recommend booking the session between weeks 30 and 35, when the bump is present and you feel comfortable. In the studio we pay attention to every detail: a friendly approach, a relaxed atmosphere, and practical posing guidance so you feel confident in front of the camera. My experience allows me to direct the session with sensitivity while leaving room for spontaneity.
