I’m Scarlata Reyes, a maternity photographer based in Santa Brígida (Gran Canaria). My work focuses on telling love stories: the waiting, the tenderness, and the connection between parents and their baby. Since I began photographing in 2010, I’ve known this was my path; today I continue to make each maternity session a window to cherished memories, taking care with light, composition and—above all—the emotion. My approach is natural and sensitive. I avoid rigid poses and seek authentic moments: gentle touches, shared glances and the small gestures that exist only in the anticipation of new life. I photograph both outdoors, taking advantage of Gran Canaria’s special corners and natural light, and in my studio when the occasion calls for it. I prefer to shoot at sunset to make the most of the golden hour, creating a warm, enveloping atmosphere that highlights the silhouette of motherhood. During the session I guide you step by step: beforehand we discuss what you’d like, I offer wardrobe advice (I have garments selected for pregnant clients) and I prepare the location so everything flows calmly. My goal is for you to feel like yourself; the more relaxed you are, the more natural the images will be. I work with families and couples who want an honest, aesthetic narrative of this unique moment. I value tenderness and quality in both my client care and the final images. I edit each photograph carefully to preserve the original atmosphere, returning images that evoke the same feelings you experienced on the day of the session.
