I’m Laia Abad and my great passion is photographing emotions — which is why I specialize in maternity photography. In Miranda de Ebro I accompany expecting mothers to turn this unique moment into sincere, warm and tender images. My aim is that every maternity book tells a personal, authentic story, reflecting the closeness, excitement and beauty of the body creating life. I work with a documentary, delicate eye: I love the natural light of sunset for outdoor maternity sessions — hills, urban corners or open landscapes — because it produces soft, spontaneous images. If you prefer the privacy of a studio, I also offer sessions in my studio space in Miranda de Ebro, where I prepare a calm, comfortable atmosphere so you feel relaxed. I usually recommend scheduling the session between 28 and 36 weeks, when the bump looks lovely and the mother feels relatively comfortable, but I always adapt to each body and every story. My approach is warm and unhurried. Before the session we talk to understand your ideas, tastes and preferences; I’ll suggest locations, outfits and poses that enhance your personality and make you feel at ease. During the session I create a relaxed environment with gentle guidance and room for natural gestures and looks to emerge. I love capturing details — hands on the belly, curves, glances — alongside wider frames that show the connection with a partner or family if you wish to include them. The result is a thoughtful selection of maternity images that combine intimacy, atmosphere and narrative.
