At Rakelmisfotos we specialize in maternity photography: capturing the wait with calm, emotion and naturalness is our passion. Since 2012, when I photographed my own pregnancy and used my daughter as a model, I knew I wanted to support other families during this unique stage. My approach is to create a close, relaxed atmosphere where the expectant mother feels comfortable and beautiful. We mainly work in our studio in Barberà del Vallès, a space equipped with climate control, a changing area and a lounge so the session is comfortable for mom and the whole family. We provide gowns (white and black lace) and fabric wraps for the chest, as well as props such as flower crowns, blankets and swaddles that help craft timeless images. We recommend scheduling the session between weeks 30 and 34 to capture the belly at its most photogenic stage, and we always adapt the proposal to your style and preferences. My methodology is simple and patient: before the session we discuss ideas, wardrobe and accessories; on the day of the shoot I take care of the lighting and details to achieve natural poses; and during the session we encourage a relaxed environment so authentic gestures emerge. I don’t only photograph the mother: if you wish, we include the partner and little siblings so the maternity reportage reflects the family bond. Suggested outfits are generally solid, coordinated tones (white/black and denim) to maintain visual coherence. Why choose Rakelmisfotos?
