I’m Magdalena, a photographer based in Gràcia (Barcelona) and a specialist in maternity photography. My work arises from a blend of artistic sensitivity and training in journalism: I’m interested in telling authentic stories and preserving, in images, the intimate rhythm that comes with expecting a child. As a maternity specialist, I approach each maternity session as a personal encounter. Before the session we talk to get to know your story, your tastes and how you want to remember this moment. My aim is to create a calm, close atmosphere where you feel free, connected and beautiful; I let emotions flow and from there capture natural gestures, knowing looks and details that will become lasting memories. My style combines artistic and documentary approaches: I seek beauty in simplicity — the light that surrounds, the textures and compositions that speak of your intimacy without artifices. I work at a measured pace so every image is honest and enduring, and I love to integrate the surroundings — whether it’s a street in Gràcia, your home or a corner that inspires you — so the result feels personal and real. Besides photographing the expectant mother, I offer sessions that include the partner and the family: pregnancy is a shared time and often the best images arise from the complicity between those who await the new member. My degree in Communication and professional photography studies (IDEP) nourish my vision: I know how to listen, propose ideas, and transform a conversation into meaningful images.
