I’m Saray Ruiz, a photographer specializing in maternity photography based in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, working throughout the province of Barcelona. As a mother, I understand the intensity and beauty of this time, and my work comes from that experience: to capture the transformation, tenderness and calm that surround the waiting period. My approach to a maternity session is natural and respectful. I don’t aim for rigid poses or forced images; I prefer to create calm atmospheres where you feel comfortable and authentic. I almost always work at golden hour for outdoor sessions, taking advantage of warm light and natural settings (beach or mountain) that enhance the intimate feeling. I also offer in-home sessions for those who prefer the privacy and personal corners of their home: there I capture intimate portraits, skin-to-skin moments and small gestures that speak of bond and real motherhood. How I work: before the session we talk to choose location and style, and I provide guidance on wardrobe and tones that work best (neutral palette, soft textures). I adapt to the rhythm of the shoot: I seek calm, pauses and authentic moments rather than instructions. During the session I suggest simple games and natural gestures that allow spontaneous and very real images to emerge. Afterwards, I make a careful selection and edit so each photograph reflects the emotion you experienced in that moment. Why choose a pregnancy session with me?
