I'm Meritxell, a photographer specialized in maternity and pregnancy photography in Sants-Montjuïc (Barcelona). Since 2018 I have been accompanying expectant families with pregnancy sessions conceived to tell your story with naturalness, sensitivity and a minimalist aesthetic. For me, maternity photography is not just about capturing a beautiful bump: it’s about portraying the emotions, the embraces, the looks and the closeness that announce the arrival of a new life. My approach combines simplicity and intimacy. I work with white and neutral tones, soft light and compositions that prioritize the human element over decoration. I avoid rigid posing and heavy props: I prefer you to be yourselves, let laughter and gestures flow, and have images that convey warmth and truth. If you feel more comfortable at home, I prepare a lifestyle documentary session where we capture the intimacy and progression of your pregnancy. If you prefer the studio, I offer a bright, minimalist space with natural light and settings designed to enhance your essence. I also shoot outdoors — beach, park or beautiful corners of Barcelona — for couples seeking a freer, more open atmosphere. I work in a close and empathetic way: before each session we talk to learn your preferences, plan the location and create a relaxed environment. As a mother, I understand the doubts and emotions that accompany pregnancy, and that helps me support you with care and patience. My goal is for the session to be a pleasant, unhurried experience in which you feel comfortable and looked after.
