I’m Laura Bargunyó, the photographer behind Lora Baar Fotografía, and my work with motherhood comes from a deep need: to freeze those fleeting, unique moments. Since 2013 I have dedicated my eye to accompanying families and, especially, expectant mothers in pregnancy sessions full of naturalness, freshness and sensitivity. My approach as a maternity photographer is intimate and simple. I’m interested in showing what’s real: the light that gently caresses a bump, a knowing look with a partner, the contained gesture that reveals emotion. I don’t pursue forced posing; I prefer to create a relaxed atmosphere where images arise from spontaneity and the connection between you. I work with a carefully considered, timeless aesthetic so those photographs can transport you back to that moment every time you look at them. How do I work? Before the session we talk to get to know each other and understand what you want to remember. I provide guidance on wardrobe and locations so everything fits the session’s style, always respecting your comfort. I know beautiful corners in the Garraf and Penedès areas, and I can also adapt the session to places that hold special meaning for you in Vilanova i la Geltrú. During the shoot my presence is close but discreet: I guide softly, suggest gestures and situations that encourage complicity, and leave room for spontaneity. Every maternity book I create is thought of as a lovely experience, not just a photoshoot: I want you to feel comfortable, cared for and free to be yourselves. My training in Audiovisual Communication and years of practice allow me to combine technique and sensitivity to obtain emotive images with a very personal light.
