I’m Irene, founder of Verdegaio Fotografía and mother of two; that’s why I understand what it means to want to preserve the magic of pregnancy. As a maternity photographer based in Narón and serving the Ferrolterra area, my work is born from that emotion: capturing the tenderness, strength and intimacy that come with the wait. My approach is simple and close. I prefer natural, intimate and luminous sessions that emphasize the silhouette and the looks more than excessive props. I work a lot in black and white because, for me, it enhances expression and conveys the essence of the moment; I also shoot in color when it better suits the family’s style. You’ll receive wardrobe guidance, and if you wish I can provide gowns and robes designed to enhance composition and comfort during the session. Maternity sessions typically take place in the studio, a warm and relaxed space where we take the time you need to feel comfortable; I also travel to outdoor locations (up to 15 km from the studio) if you prefer natural light and a more informal setting. I work calmly and respectfully: your well-being is my priority, so we adapt the duration and the plan to how you feel that day. I usually recommend scheduling the session around the weeks when you feel most comfortable and have a lovely bump (typically between weeks 28 and 32), but we’ll tailor the timing to each pregnancy. My working style is friendly and flexible: after the session you’ll receive a private gallery to select your favorite images; I take care of the editing, refining colors, skin tones and atmosphere so the photos convey what you lived.
