I’m Rubén, the photographer behind En el CAMPITO, and I specialize in maternity photography in Alcorcón. For more than 15 years I’ve dedicated my camera to telling family stories, and as the father of Mateo and Luca I know well what it means to want to preserve the waiting time for a baby with honesty and care. My approach to maternity photography is simple: I seek naturalness. I don’t like forced poses or filters that distort a memory. I prefer to accompany you on an afternoon at the campito — a nearby patch of nature — or create a calm atmosphere in my studio so the session is comfortable and authentic. I tell what I see and what I feel: small gestures, shared looks, hands on the belly. Those are the details that, years from now, will make you relive exactly how you felt in that stage. I work as a maternity specialist: I prepare each session thinking about you. Before the shoot we talk to get to know each other, choose location and coordinate ideas (clothing, meaningful objects, presence of partner or siblings). On the day of the session I bring a sense of calm: we walk, chat, play with the light and I wait for the genuine moments. I adapt to each person’s rhythm and give the time needed so everything flows without rush. In editing I stay true to the natural aesthetic I pursue: adjustments to light and color, very subtle retouching when necessary, and absolute respect for the truth of the image. The result is photographs with soul that convey tenderness and feel sincere.
