Hello, I’m Ruth Hernández and maternity photography is one of my greatest passions. With more than two decades of professional experience in the world of image —and as a mother— I have learned to capture the tenderness, strength and unique beauty of every pregnancy. I specialize in maternity sessions and newborn photography, always with a humane, calm and very personal approach. I work primarily with natural light: my studio in Arganda del Rey is designed to make you feel at home, without intimidating lights, and I have several of my own handmade sets to create unique, carefully composed images. If you prefer the outdoors, we head out to the countryside to take advantage of natural light and seasonal colors; outdoors, maternity sessions feel more spontaneous and bring out images full of life. My method is warm and practical. Before the session I provide professional advice on clothing, poses and the most flattering light. On the day of the shoot I create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere so you feel comfortable —that’s when the most sincere photos appear. I also offer couple and family sessions so the report reflects the connection your family is already forming. The safety and well-being of the baby are a priority in my newborn sessions: I work gently, creating a warm, protected environment. I also design each package with the final presentation in mind: albums and presentation options in various formats and finishes —from elegant books to personalized boxes— so you can keep this memory with care. I come from a family of photographers and have trained in numerous courses and workshops that complement my life experience.
