At Carpe Diem Photography my approach as a maternity photographer is simple: to accompany you gently so you can look back and remember how you felt in that uniquely special moment. I’m Layla Aguado, and I specialize in maternity photography from my studio in Novelda, offering intimate and respectful maternity sessions both indoors and in natural settings throughout the province of Alicante. Why choose a maternity session with me? Because connection comes first. My aim isn’t to force a perfect pose but to capture the true beauty and emotion of this stage of life. I work with a natural, close, and emotional aesthetic: soft light, simple compositions, and authentic gestures that convey the bond you are creating. Each session is a safe space to recognize yourself, embrace the moment, and celebrate your maternity. My method is designed so you feel comfortable and relaxed. Before the session we talk to understand your ideas, preferences, and the stage of your pregnancy; I usually recommend scheduling the session around week 30, when the belly is prominent but you still feel agile and at ease. On the day of the shoot I work without rush: I respect your pace, adapt the rhythm to yours, and create images from a place of calm and sensitivity. I offer sessions in my cozy studio in Novelda, where we preserve intimacy, and I also travel to outdoor locations across the province when you prefer a more natural environment. In both settings I pay close attention to every detail — wardrobe, suggested poses, and lighting — so the final images become an authentic and lasting keepsake. For me, maternity photography is a gift: a pause that lets you see yourself anew, feel the love that is already growing, and leave a visual testimony for yourself and your family.
